What is functional strength training?Functional strength training trains everyday movement patterns instead of isolated muscles. You become stronger, more stable and more flexible because your body learns to transfer power efficiently across the entire body — clearly, scalable and built up in a meaningful way.
Definition & principle
Basic movements such as squats, hinge, push, pull, carry and rotation are trained. Several muscle groups work together at the same time — including core and stabilizing muscles. The result: real, functional power.
Difference from classic strength training Instead of working on equipment in isolation, you train holistically and three-dimensionally in functional strength training. You build up strength, coordination, balance and stability at the same time — for better movement in everyday life and in sport.
